What is Narcan®/Naloxone?

Narcan, also known as Naloxone, is a nasal spray used for the treatment of a known or suspected opioid overdose emergency.

How Do You Use Narcan®/Naloxone?


Signs of an Opioid Overdose:

  • ​Unconsciousness, inability to wake up, or limp body
  • Extreme drowsiness or falling asleep
  • Slow, shallow, irregular or no breathing
  • Pale, blue, cold and/or clammy skin
  • Slow or no heartbeat
  • Fingernails or lips are purple/blue​
  • ​Vomiting or gurgling noises

Where Can You Get Narcan®?

Naloxone365 Program
No ID or insurance required, but you must be over the age of 14.

Naloxone365 Pilot Program


New Jersey now has a pilot program that ​allows pharmacies to dispense opioid antidotes, at no cost, to anonymous recipients at any time.

More Information:
There is no cost
You do not need a prescription
You do not need a name or reason
You MUST be age 14 or older
There is a limit of one kit (contains 2 doses) per visit
